Taking place from 18-24 November, this annual initiative is in its 4th year. Coordinated with the support of EGBA, ESGW24 presents another important opportunity for stakeholders in our sector to unite in promoting safer gambling across Europe. During ESGW24, participating operators, including EGBA members, and other stakeholders will launch a social media campaign across Europe, sharing safer gambling messages with their customers and audiences. According to our latest sustainability report, 65% of our members' European customers – a record 21 million of them – used safety tools last year, with over half doing so voluntarily. Brussels, 18 July 2024 – Members of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) significantly stepped up their efforts to implement and promote safer gambling in 2023, according to the association’s fourth annual sustainability report published today. The report reveals that 65% of European customers – a record 21 million of them – used safety tools last year, with over half doing so voluntarily, a 14% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, the association’s operators sent a record 67.6 million messages to their customers to promote safer play, a 49% yearly increase.
