Join Us for European Safer Gambling Week 2024

This year’s European Safer Gambling Week (ESGW24) will take place from 18-24 November 2024, and we are pleased to share key information and resources to help stakeholders participate. Introduced and coordinated by EGBA since 2021, this annual campaign brings together operators, regulators, harm prevention organisations, and other stakeholders from across Europe’s gambling sector to raise awareness about safer gambling and promote player protection.
Building on the success of last year’s campaign, which saw participation from over 160 partners across 20 European countries, 8 million safer gambling messages shared on social media, and 18 local events bringing together experts to discuss the latest developments in safer gambling, EGBA is setting ambitious goals for this upcoming fourth edition.
“Last year’s European Safer Gambling Week demonstrated the industry’s shared commitment to fostering a strong culture of safer gambling. With ESGW24 set for 18-24 November, we’re calling on stakeholders to start planning now so that together we can make this edition even more impactful,” said Maarten Haijer, Secretary General, EGBA.
Get involved
There are several ways stakeholders can support and participate in ESGW24:
- Contributing to the social media campaign by sharing safer gambling messages in local languages.
- Organising safer gambling events such as webinars, workshops, or panel discussions.
- Introducing new safer gambling initiatives.
- Hosting training sessions for staff or customers.
- Publishing thought leadership that contributes to safer gambling.
Who can participate?
We invite operators and organisations with operations and activities in the EU/EEA to participate, including national authorities, trade associations, harm prevention organisations, affiliates, and other stakeholders with an interest in safer gambling.
Social media campaign
To support the ESGW24 social media campaign, graphic materials — including logos, banners, and social media graphics in over 20 languages — are now available.
Event planning
The agenda of ESGW24 events is now available. If you are planning a safer gambling event for ESGW24, please keep these important dates in mind to ensure inclusion in the agenda: Share the full event details (Date, Time, Title, Format) with us by 1 November.
Cost and access
We are pleased to confirm that participation in ESGW24 and access to all campaign materials are provided free of charge to stakeholders.
